Cyril Wong

EARLY FRAGMENT

You look at me as if
nothing falls apart.
Folly and hope,

laundry in rows of swaying
heaviness behind you. This morning
enters the back of your head,

passing through that grizzled face
with a clarity about time passing,
stopping, flickering to begin again.
