sil·hou·ette \ˌsilo͞oˈet \\ n. 1. a dark outline as if seen against the light: he watched her go, her silhouette blown out by the sun. 2. the trace of something existing, often undefined and captivating: that he could not make out form \ and was even struggling \ remembering her \ original curves \ that once lay beside his own \ shape that has been blurred \ that she is a dancing shadow that once called him to bed \ now hollow \ and full of creases that need to be smoothed out \ that it could hold on \ to so many secrets \ and not fall apart \ her silhouette.

 

Adopted from China and raised in Northern Michigan, Tuuli Qin-Terrill currently works as a biopharmaceutical lab analyst with a passion for writing. She is a graduate of Denison University with a BS in Biochemistry and has work in Exile and National Writers Series Literary Journal
