ARTIST STATEMENT

In my book excavations, I carve through found books revealing the content to create relief sculptures. Books allow us to travel in time. My art works are windows to bring the past into the present and contemplate the future in a brand-new light as we prepare for the next leg of our journey.  All these images and words are magic spells that change our perception and inspire new paths. All books are magical. I’m just rearranging the spells.
