Simon Ravenscroft

‍ ‍

somnambulance

balletic charm
of a December wasp
in an indoor space
fussing
amidst pistachios
& low-angled light

*

whenever I’m alone with you it’s like
I’m stood under willow trees

*

all the birds & other fauna
moving through the world like shades

*

what I want to say to you is
there’s no way to say it
yet

*

thought draws a winding line
to a green shoot, nurtured
& growing without will or mind

*

find me a desiring
seed to water, inside
& I promise I’ll water it
