This day raw
with waves,  iron
clouds, iron lake.  Only
dusk draws a ribbon
orange lines a horizon

for me, grants
an above, a below.

Recent poems have appeared in NELLE and The Iowa Review . She used to row on the Mississippi River and is still happiest near big water.
